2014-2016 MNS Scholarship Recipients

The foundation is proud to announce that Pratigya Silwal and Krishna Gurung have been selected to receive the 2014 to 2016 Mingma Norbu Sherpa Memorial Scholarship.

Pratigya is from the Nepal district of  Lalitpur and has worked 3 years with Livelihoods and Forestry Programme (LFP) and CARE Nepal. She will be pursuing a Masters in Sustainable Natural Resource Management at Lincoln.

Krishna Gurung is from the Nepal district of Ghandruk (Annapurna) and has worked with the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) from 1999 to 2014. He was based in Jomsom since 2001.

We wish them well in New Zealand. This opportunity would not be possible without the tremendous support of Lincoln University Christchurch and WWF Nepal-US. A special thank you to Lisa Choegyal and this years GHF scholarship selection committee for picking these two individuals from a pool of talent candidates.
